Funny or Embarrassing?

  • Eggs

My cousin and I were bored one summer at our Grandmother’s house and we had literally exhausted any and everything to do. We watched a movie earlier and there was a scene where these kids were throwing eggs at cars and my cousin and I were both cracking up on how the drivers were reacting to the eggs falling from the sky. So I thought it would be a good idea for us to play our own egg throwing scene on the cars that drove by and my cousin agreed. We stuffed our sweat shirts and pockets with eggs and proceeded to the end of the drive way to put our plan into play. Cars start to drive by and we start to throwing them and when the cars would stop we would start playing hop scotch. We got away with it for about 6 cars until our Grandmother yelled out, “Stop throwing my eggs at those darn cars!” We were in so much trouble to where we got a whippin’ from our Grandmother and our parents.

  • Timber

It was my first day of High School and the entire 9th grade class had to meet in the gym for an introduction of the staff and administration. My mother was running late that day and when I got to them gym there was no seating except for the very top of the bleachers. Being that I am deafly afraid of heights, I just knew there was no one I would be at the top of the bleachers until a teachers directs me to the very top. I was mortified and begged and pleaded with her to just let me sit on the floor but she would not hear it. I proceeded up the steps, praying every step of the way that I would not fall backwards; I made it to the top. The bell rung and it was time for us to go to our first class and I was glued to my seat. I had just made that journey up the steps and not even 15 minutes later I had to go back down the steps but this time in a crowd of people…I nervously got up and started to coach myself down the steps and after three steps, I felt comfortable that I was not going to fall until the boys behind me started pushing each other and one kind of fell on me. Having no sense of balance, I began to tumble face forward down the bleachers and I even took out 3 other students with me. I was so embarrassed that I got up and ran into the bathroom in an attempt to regain my composure but as soon as I walked in to class those same guys were in and my name was TIMBER for the rest of the year.

  •  The Tutor

Math is my worst subject and my teacher suggested that I got to tutorials provided by the school. Caring not to ask the details of the tutorials, I just showed up in the classroom that I thought it was in to find one other student. After of about 5 minutes of no one else coming into the room I asked the guy, “What time do tutorials start?”, and he said that it started right after school. Waiting and waiting some more, I realized that I had been there 30 minutes already and there was not a tutor in sight. The principal walks in and says, “I hope you two have learned your lesson and I won’t have to see you back in detention.” I began to sink in my chair as I thought I had been waiting there for a tutor when I really served my first after school detention.

  Blind Date

Some friends of mine from high school decided to hook me up on a blind date with this guy that they promised was perfect for me. They totally set everything up to my outfit and where all I had to do was show up at the restaurant. Overly anxious, I was on the phone with one of my friends when this guy that I have a huge crush on from my church walks into the restaurant. I spoke to him and he sat at a different table alone and I assumed that he was waiting on his girlfriend. After 10 minutes of waiting, I started talking to my church member and we really began to hit it off to my surprise. Both of our dates showed up after being 15-20 minutes late and we were forced to entertain them. Not feeling my blind date at all, I excused myself to the bathroom to call my friends to tell them that I would much rather be with my church crush than what they set me up with. As soon as I headed back to the table, my crush approached me and said, “Let’s get out of here,” I agreed and we both ditched our dates. My crush and I left, we went to my favorite restaurant and we went bowling and talked all night. It was the best date of my life and my friends still throw it in my face of how I ditched that guy.
