Hailing from New York, by way of Los Angeles, Maxx Paine is an astute lyricist who lays his words gently over some of the best production I believe I’ve ever heard.  Paine is no veteran to this industry; however, he does a great job at appearing to be larger than life, whether he’s rhyming or indulging in ordinary conversation.

I first came in contact with Maxx a few months ago after viewing his “Listen 2 the Rain” video via a friend’s Facebook page. I was astounded at his ability to facilitate his words so effortlessly, while the track literally rained in the background. I must’ve replayed that video at least 10 times analyzing each word. It was exciting to see the underdog appearing so regal. Even the video was well thought out, classy, and proportionate to the overall theme of the song.

I had no idea what I was in for upon reaching out to Maxx. I really needed him to understand that even though I didn’t know him, I felt as if it was my obligation to give him his proper’s (props), because he’s a mastermind at rhyme and reason.  Since then, I have become fully committed to publicizing Maxx’s music and his namesake via social networks, print media etc. I almost feel like it’s my duty to let the world in on such awesome music. I’ve had the pleasure of watching Maxx build records in the studio and it’s literally a process, though he makes it seem thoughtless.

Though he’s a rapper, Maxx Paine is really an old soul and more of an R&B connoisseur, which explains why his production is so well tuned and refined. Every song I’ve ever heard is my favorite of all, and I’ve heard unreleased tracks that would blow many of the mainstream artists right off the sound scan.  

Paine has most recently completed a string of performances in New York City, including his most noted performance at the Long Island Music Awards. Wale’s album Attention Deficit is the best album of 2009! His lyrical abilities are insane with guest appearances from Bun B, Melanie Fiona, J.Cole and many more. The album reached number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Rap Charts and number 3 on the U.S. R&B charts. Wale has already released 3 songs from the album Chillin, World Tour, and Pretty Girls. His music incorporates elements of  go-go,  music a dance that started in Washington D.C. This was by far the best album in 2009 hands down.

Over the weekend I had the distinct pleasure to celebrate my birthday with my best-friend (Grammy Award Winner) Chrisette Michele with 5 other friends. We stayed in the Fontaine Bleau Hotel (which is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen in my life) while i was touring the hotel i happen to come across “LMFAO” they guys you had the summer smash hit “I’m in Miami Bitch”. To my surprise not only did the hotel book Chrisette stay and to host her birthday party at club LIV, they also booked LMFAO as well too. It was an amazing great time pictures are below……..

If  the name “David Guetta” sounds familiar to you, yes you have heard it before he is the man behind the music (producer) for “Kelly Rowland” International/Dance/Techno/Electro - Pop SMASH HIT “When Love Takes Over” and by the look of things it seems he doesn’t intend to slow down anytime soon. When I heard this record I could not help but to keep thinking to myself, “what the heck is Atlantic Records waiting for release the first single already.” If you enjoy artist such as Jodi Whately, Madonna, Grace Jones, Rihanna and Lady GaGa you will feel like you have been waiting for Wynter Gordon your whole life. She is the complete package Singer/Songwriter/and Performer.

Timbaland is not done with trying to be an artist yet. The super producer is putting together a sequel to his highly successful “Shock Value” album. The album Shock Value 2 is set to have appearances from Chris Brown, Estelle, Daughtry, and none other than Drake. The album will also reunite Timbo with Keri Hilson and Justin Timberlake, whose careers he help define.

Anything that Timbaland touches turns out dope. Shock Value produced hit singles, “The Way I Are,” “Scream,” “Give It To Me,” and “Apologize (Remix)“, which all charted high on Billboard. There is no set release date, but just hearing this news has got us excited all ready.

Monday night @ Butter Apple, Taboo Ammo Poet and Will I Am from the Black Eyed Peas were there but sadly we didn’t see any Fergie. Oh no!

I was hosting Monday night (11/16) @ Marquee which is a celebrity night. Now I must be honest, the party was a little hood but a lot of celebrities have been showing up over the past few Mondays. November 2nd, John Legend performed live and Rihanna was there.

November 9th was the album release party for Wale and Serena Williams and Selita Ebanks attended. This Monday that passed(11/16) was athlete central with a late night pop in with some of the Black Eyed Peas members who were at Butter earlier. I actually grabbed photos with Vince Young (http://twitpic.com/puhhr) and also with the 2nd best defensive player in NBA history, Dikembe Motumba (http://twitpic.com/q1vyp). It was the birthday party for Chris Baker who is a defensive lineman for the Denver Broncos. Sadly, I didn’t get a photo with him (haha) but he seemed to have had a blast.

Thursday night (11/26) at M2 is the after party for the VICTORIA SECRET FASHION SHOW. Sadly it is a private event so all you perverted guys out there that think you can get in by paying $30, think again it is a strict guest list.

Monday Night @ Marquee is sizzling hot with madness and celebrities. Ahmad and Jrosenblum throw huge events there. Last night it was officially the album release party for Wale (sings a song with Lady GaGa “Chillin”).

The celebs I saw there were as follows: Wale Selita Ebanks (Victoria Secret Model), Dwight Freeney (defensive COLTS player), Serena Williams (if you don’t know your whack:), Barack Obama (haha just kidding, wish he was there so I could get his autograph) and Mark Ronson (famous DJ).

The door was jam packed the line was long and there were beautiful women inside. Celebs celebs celebs. I am going to work on figuring out the names of American football and basketball players because it will make this posting a little more interesting if I could name them all haha. I found out Dwight Freeney one of the best defensive football players in the NFL was seated next to me @ the end of the night ha. Was really cool chit chatting with him a little and I asked what he did and he said he plays for the Colts.

Ron Brownz, the guy who sings “Gimme 20$” and “Pop Champagne” and some other good rap songs, he will be @ La Pomme Wednesday. You guys should all come so please let me know if attending. Some other celebrity parties are in the works. Give me time. I am going to make it happen Mon-Wed celebrity parties and thursday-Sunday some nice higher end venues.

Sunday night @1Oak it was supposed to be the movie premiere afterparty for a movie called “the messenger.” Woody Harrelson was supposed to be in attendance however I didn’t see him. There were billboards all set up but celebs were a no show for once at the amazing 1Oak. In the beginning I was worried that this Sunday party would turn out to be a failure but the crowd is slowly but surely getting better and better each time (I am making it sound like the crowd isn’t good but it really is, but just not up to the real 1Oak’s par as yet however huge progress girls/guys told me). Had a blast!

Sunday @ Tenjune JUDE LAW was there ladies. Now don’t you wish you didn’t stay in to cuddle with your boyfriend on the couch? YES! I went Tenjune late night to speak with a business associate and the ceilings of Tenjune had white drapes hanging and chandeliers dangling also. It looked stupendous, but I don’t know how long they plan to keep the decorations for.

So as you all may know by now, I love LADY GAGA she is set to re-release her first album “THE FAME” but with a twist. The re-release title is “The FAME MONSTER” with 8 new tracks never heard before and hear is the video for the first single “Bad Romance” enjoy.

Jay Sean had a special performance and listening event at Greeenhouse, NYC. Jay Sean recently topped Billboard’s Hot 100, knocking The Black Eyed Peas from the #1 spot with his hit single “Down”.

I had the distinct honor of attending the “James Baldwin Birthday Celebration Tribute” in Harlem, NY last week Sunday with my good friend Teneille Craig and Patrice Floy.

This mini ceremony was held at “The George Faison Firehouse” for those of you who do not know George Faison, he is the Choreographer of “The Wiz” that starred “Michael Jackson and Diana Ross”. In attendance was Richard Pelzer (a very well known magazine publisher) some of Mr. Baldwins living siblings/relatives and Andre Leon Tally. It was a great event just to reflect and acknowledge those who have paved the way for black people today in the entertainment industry and fought to accomplish there dreams no matter what it took.

The Dream just got a promotion. He Tweeted yesterday and his last Tweets before he shut his page down he talks about being named the new Vice President of Island Def Jam:

If you have not seen this movie, what the hell are you waiting for?

If you are into horror/thriller movies this is a must see. I went on a date about 2 weeks ago and this boy just kept nagging me to go on a date. Then the infamous question comes “well what movie do you want to see?”. After observing all my options I needed to watch a movie that would grasp my attention from looking at this person I went on a sympathy date with.

I didn’t have any expectations at first but after 15 minutes into the film, I was hooked. I tell you this little girl is truly cold hearted, no feelings, selfish demon. I’m not going to spoil the movie for anyone but I will say this. I am so not looking to adopt any kids no time soon possibly not ever after this movie.

Kanye West like gays and he doesn’t care. He is prepping to hit the road with Lady Gaga , which is set to be one of the biggest tours of the year. Both artist are international superstars, and have a phenominal following. Lady Gaga expressed this to Kanye before she agreed to the tour:

“I just want it to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay. I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream, It’s not an underground tool for me. It’s my whole life. So I always sort of joke the real motivation is to just turn the world gay.”
